7 Stylish Lamps to Warm Up Your Home This Autumn
September is here and we’re heading properly into autumn. The days are getting shorter, the evenings are starting to draw in and before we know it the clocks will be changing in October. This is the time of year when we want our homes to feel a little warmer and cosier. For us, lighting makes such a difference. We want soft pools of light, a warm glow and lamps that make a room feel inviting even when it’s grey outside.

Glowy Mushroom Table Lamp – Habitat

Starting off strong with a mushroom lamp from Habitat. This is one trend we definitely don’t think is going anywhere. We love the marbled pinky-peach colour when it’s switched off, and once it’s on it gives off such a lovely warm, cosy glow. It’s small enough to work on a bedside table or side table, but still has enough about it to make a bit of a statement. We could see this looking great on a shelf! A really easy way to bring some softer colour and warmer lighting into a room.
Retro Floor Lamp with Glass shade – Dunelm

Meet Floyd. He comes in three colours, but the burgundy is easily our favourite. The brass base with that deep burgundy Glass Shade against a bold green wall just feels like autumn. It has a proper 70s feel without looking like you’ve raided a vintage shop with a weird light bulb fitting. If you’ve recently gone for a strong wall colour and only want to add one thing to the room, this would be a very good place to start.
Brown Glass Table Lamp – M&S Home

In the world of lamps, this All Over Glass Lamp by M&S feels a little bit unusual and much more expensive-looking than it actually is. It is one of the pricier ones we’ve featured, but it really makes a statement. The smoky brown glass gives us a definite 70s feel, while the heavy textured glass brings in a bit of 80s glamour too. It’s the kind of lamp that could completely change a fairly simple corner of a room.
Wavy Table Lamp Marble base – H&M Home

This H&M Home Table Lamp feels classic and modern all at the same time. The light brown marbled effect lamp base just oozes elegant lighting, and the wavy textured shade just gives it that modern twist and a more relaxed feel. We really like the mix of textures here, it feels a little more grown-up than some of the trend-led lamps around at the moment, but still interesting enough to stand out.
Checker Table Lamp – M&S Home

Another trend we’re still very much on board with, pun intended, is checkerboard. This table lamp from M&S moves us firmly into the cute end of the scale. We love the pink and green colour combo, the chunky square base and the little scalloped detail on the shade. It’s playful without feeling too novelty, and would be such an easy way to bring a bit of colour into a bedroom or living room.
Leopard print mini Table Lamp – ASDA george

And at the very top of the cute scale? This mini lamp from George at ASDA. Don’t be fooled by its size, the leopard print shade makes sure it’s definitely no wallflower. It’s battery powered too, so you’re not tied to putting it beside a plug. We can see this looking especially cute on a bedside table, bookshelf or little corner that needs a bit of personality.
Textured Green Floor Lamp – Dunelm

Lastly, we’re back at Dunelm for this Clementine floor lamp, and it’s the pistachio green colour that caught our eye. The tall shape and textured rope-effect base give it a slightly 70s feel, but the muted green keeps it really easy to live with. We can see this working especially well in a cosy living room corner beside a sofa or armchair.
