Home County Candle Co

Something a little bit different from us today, and another Instagram discovery (what would we do without Instagram?). The Home County Candle Co. is a Hertfordshire-based company that produces luxury scented candles celebrating beautiful places across England.

We absolutely love the idea behind these candles, the fact that they are all named after counties up and down the length of England, and that the scents are chosen to represent each county. For us, these wooden wick candles would make a great new home gift. We wonder if there are any plans to expand the range as it would be lovely to see Scottish, Welsh, and Northern Ireland candles in there. Here’s a small selection of their beautiful natural candle range from north to south!

All of the candles are hand-poured, burn for 45 hours, and have a wooden wick meaning that when it’s lit it gives a lovely and cosy fireplace crackly sound.

What a lovely candle to finish off with, I mean how clever is this? Although after reading the description of this candle we wouldn’t know whether to burn it or lick it! The candles are soy wax, vegan friendly and the company is serious about recycling and sustainability. We hope you’ll pay them a visit this Christmas if you’re looking for a lovely home Christmas gift.

Comment below if you’ve tried these candles or if you decide to try them, and keep your eyes peeled for a post coming up on some wonderful new home gift ideas.
